New York Apartments

Finding apartments for rent in New York can be pretty difficult at times. I was looking at New York apartments for about six months before I finally found one. I was excited to be in the city, but I was a little bit anxious about finding New York housing. You see, New York City apartments are notoriously difficult to get. Property values are so inflated that, unless you are in the highest income bracket, you might have to do with a little bit of discomfort if you want to be able to afford your own home at any point. Even a modest New York apartment – say a single room studio apartment in NYC – can run $800 dollars or more a month depending on location.

Nonetheless, is worth the effort in the end. When you get the chance to live in your own New York apartment, you'll understand how great it is. There is nothing else like it. In New York apartments, you are truly in the middle of everything. One of the most beautiful cities in the entire world is around you. There are New York events happening on practically every corner. I might be exaggerating a little bit, but I'm not exaggerating very much. Living in New York really is that exciting!

Of course, there is more to finding apartments in New York than just picking out a deal. Finding the right neighborhood can be tricky in and of itself. New York City is changing all the time, and New York apartments change with it. Do you want the bohemian vibe of the East Village, or the exciting hustle and bustle of midtown Manhattan? How about the Bronx, or Brooklyn? Every borough, and every neighborhood within that borough, has its own feel. New York apartments in Park Slope just won't feel the same as living in downtown Manhattan. The culture is different, the scenery is different, and the opportunities that you have will be different.

The first New York apartment I had was right in midtown. I was pretty naive at the time. I was young, and I did not have a lot of money. I figured that if I was going to be living in New York apartments, I might as well get something in the center of it all. After all, that was what living in New York City was supposed to be all about. Nevertheless, I definitely lived to regret it. It was too expensive, and the whole place was crawling with roaches. Nowadays, I would rather live a little bit further away if it means that I don't have to put up with the inconveniences and expense of living downtown.

Summary
New York apartments are very difficult to find. They are also expensive for the amount of space you get compared to the price. A small studio apartment can run around 800 a month or more. Living downtown is not suggested as they tend to be overpriced moreso than apartments further out.
